Lay Readers

The Lay Readers at Epiphany are a small group of dedicated individuals who are commissioned to lead the Daily Office (Morning and/or Evening Prayer) at the church. Currently this includes leading Morning Prayer weekdays at 9:30 a.m. in the chancel area of the church. If there is sufficient interest in this ministry, Epiphany also offers Evening Prayer at 5:30 p.m. weekdays. The congregation at these services varies from one to eight or more on any given morning. Each Lay Reader leads the service on his/her assigned day, or is on the list to substitute when needed. This is a very rewarding, intimate ministry.

For questions or to express interest in training to be a Lay Reader, please contact Marjorie Lacy.
