Eucharistic Visitors

Lay Eucharistic Visitors are an important pastoral and sacramental expression of the church as community. They extend the pastoral care provided at the altar and by the community. They also serve a sacramental role as they bear the bread and the wine.

Commissioning asks a special blessing on the Eucharistic Visitors at weekend church services, and they leave immediately to share the Eucharist with persons who are not able to be present. In a symbolic way, Eucharistic Visitors carry the parish with them as a sign of the whole community's care, support, and concern for absent members.

Anyone who would like to receive a visit from a Eucharistic Visitor may call the church office to request this ministry. A Eucharistic Visitor will then call you to set up an appointment.

To become a Eucharistic Visitor, contact Deacon Bess Driver.
